Pinpoint is an app aimed at new University students. From interviews, I found that the main limiting factor for meeting new people was affordability. The app asks the user to like locations, which could be possible social places, on the map, allowing them to filter by distance and price range. The user is then matched with people who liked similar places on the map and have similar interests.
Via the message tab, users are able to arrange a meet-up which would then be shown at the top of the chat so users can easily check the date, time and location of the meetup without having to scroll past other messages.
